Armor Class

Armor Class modifies most incoming damage, and lower values are better.

Practical guide

3 steps for this topic
  1. Record naked and fully equipped AC, then add buffs and curses one at a time to see which value changes.
  2. Use lower AC as better defense and test incoming damage against the same attacker, skill, element, and target state.
  3. Build below the practical floor when curse protection is expected so a small AC penalty does not immediately remove the cap.

Key details

Documented range
Community testing describes most damage as capped near 100 AC on the weak end and -90 AC on the strong end.
Curse interaction
beag cradh and stronger curses raise AC; excess defensive AC can preserve the floor after a small curse.
